First walk in the snow - 27 November 2013

Out in the snow for the first time in Canada, 27 November 2013.  A beautiful walk along the Humber River in Toronto with views of the city skyline and CN Tower, followed by lunch at Eden Trattoria.  This also happened to be the first time I experienced been hit with -15C winds and as my face in the bottom photograph shows, it's also prior to purchase of a proper winter jacket and boots!

10,000 Miles Away..

It's a pretty unique feeling experiencing two sunsets in the one day, knowing you're somewhere over the largest ocean on the planet.  With an international dateline and equator passing by it reminded me a little of when I used to drink - not having a clue where I am or what day it was!

Probably not the best idea watching each mile slowly pass by on the TV monitor showing the plane's journey.  Nor is it a great idea to focus on the violent kicking of my chair by the 3 year old behind me.  You soon forget all that though, when after 15 hours you look out the plane window and you're met with the beautiful coastline of Canada's British Columbia!
